Anyone searching for "smart glasses" today finds two fundamentally different product categories. Camera glasses film and photograph what you see — handy for social media, but quickly a problem in meetings, on the train or in conversation: the person opposite never knows whether they are being recorded. Import or Swiss retailer?
Direct import seems tempting at first glance, but rarely pays off: on top of the exchange rate and shipping come import VAT and, where applicable, customs clearance fees — and in a warranty case the parcel goes back across the Atlantic.
