Privacy with the Even G2
Discretion is not a feature.
It is the principle.
No camera, no stored audio recordings, a display only you can see. What the Even G2 does with data and what it does not, for people in Switzerland who care.
The Even G2 has no camera, stores no audio recordings and shows its display to the wearer only. The four microphones are used only for voice commands or on activation. With Conversate, audio is processed into text in real time and then deleted; only the transcript and the summary remain in your Even Realities app.
To everyone else in the room the G2 is a pair of glasses. No glowing lens, no recording light, nothing that turns anyone into an object. That is why Even Realities left the camera out, and why the G2 is wearable in meeting rooms, practices and law firms.
The facts
Four things the G2
does not do.
Per Even Realities’ statements on the Even G2, plus what we explain every day at the showroom.
It does not film
There is no camera. No photos, no video, no face recognition. What makes camera glasses a problem in meetings does not exist here.
It does not listen constantly
The four microphones are used only for voice commands or on activation. Conversate runs only when you start it.
It keeps no audio
For transcripts, summaries and translation, audio is processed in real time and then deleted. No audio recordings are stored.
It shows nothing outward
The display is visible only to you. Whoever sits across from you sees glasses, not your notes, not your messages.

Text, not sound.
With you, not somewhere.
Using Conversate produces a text transcript and an AI-generated summary. Both are stored for later viewing in the Even Realities app on your smartphone; the original audio is not. Whatever you want to delete, you delete there. Processing follows the Even Realities privacy policy; we gladly go through it with you at the showroom, paragraph by paragraph.
How Conversate worksSwitzerland
What counts here:
the FADP, and courtesy.
Since 1 September 2023 the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) applies. It demands transparency, data minimisation and security, from companies, not from glasses. For you as the wearer it means: the G2 does not take responsibility off your shoulders, it makes being responsible easier, because it collects less than a smartphone in your hand.
Our recommendation for meetings: say when Conversate is reading along or translating, as you would with notes or an interpreter. Most people find it remarkable that glasses without a camera and without recording can do so much. For legal questions in individual cases, in medical practices or law firms for instance, your legal adviser’s guidance applies; we are not lawyers, but we know where the glasses’ limits are.
And we ourselves: Even Realities Switzerland collects only what is needed for advice, ordering, delivery and warranty: contact details and, for prescription lenses, the values on your prescription. No sharing for advertising, no profiles. The concierge on this website works in your browser; your visit stays with you. Details in our privacy policy (German).
Frequently asked questions
Questions about privacy.
Does the Even G2 have a camera?
No, deliberately not. Nothing is filmed or photographed, no lens lights up. From the outside the G2 is a pair of glasses.
Does the Even G2 record conversations?
No. The microphones are used only for voice commands or on activation. With Conversate, audio is processed in real time and then deleted; no audio recordings are stored. Only transcript and summary remain in the app.
Can others see what is on the display?
No. The display is visible only to the wearer.
Where is the data processed?
Per the Even Realities privacy policy, via the Even Realities app on your smartphone; voice features use cloud processing. Details and legal bases are in the maker’s policy, which we gladly walk through with you at the showroom.
Can I delete transcripts?
Yes, in the Even Realities app on your smartphone. Transcripts and summaries are kept there for later viewing; audio is not, because it is not stored.
Does the G2 need an account?
Yes, the Even Realities app requires an account for set-up, updates and features such as Even AI. We set it up together with you and explain every setting.
Ask us anything.
At the Zurich showroom we go through the privacy policy with you, paragraph by paragraph. One appointment, one guest.
