Translate, present, navigate, read along? Then display glasses. Film and photograph? Camera glasses. The purpose sets the category – not the other way round.

Budget: one-off or monthly?
Calculate over three years: purchase price plus subscriptions, accessories, import extras. The G2 costs CHF 699 – once, no subscription.

Prescription: everyday pair or second device?
If the smart glasses are to replace your glasses, they need true corrective integration – display-optimised, not retrofitted.

Privacy: camera yes or no?
With a camera you potentially film others – often delicate at work. Camera-free models take the question off the table.

Try-on, setup, warranty path: a local partner costs no premium but saves weeks when it counts.
Switzerland-specific
Three things that differ here.
Prices: imports add import tax, customs handling and exchange rates – Swiss final prices are more reliable. Languages: German, French and Italian should be mastered by translation and assistant. Warranty: a warranty case across the border takes time; a partner in Zurich solves it locally.
